Change the subcaste ADI-Dravidar to ADI-Thamizhan in Tamil Nadu

  The Issue In the state of Tamil Nadu, there exists a subcaste classification known as "ADI-Dravidar" which currently does not accurately represent the identity and heritage of the people it encompasses. This is in contrast to neighboring subcastes such as "ADI-Telugu" and "ADI-Kannada," which are more representative of the linguistic and cultural identities of their people.  The term "ADI-Dravidar" has historical connotations that do not fully recognize the unique cultural identity of the Tamil people. It bundles diverse groups under a broad label that is not reflective of their real linguistic and cultural heritage. Given the presence of subcastes such as "ADI-Telugu" and "ADI-Kannada," which specifically acknowledge the linguistic heritage of their respective communities, it is logical and fair to propose that "ADI-Dravidar" be renamed to "ADI-Thamizhan."  Changing the subcaste name to "ADI-Thamizh...
